Iphone Marketing: Your Blog Isn’t on Their New Iphone?
Like to be on the 45 million iPhones Apple may sell in 2009?
Woudn’t it be great to be able to put your web in the palm of their hand?
According to Fortune magazine (11, June 2008) the experts estimate that Apple will sell between 10 and 45 million iPhones in 2009! This means people all over the world will be discovering the joys of surfing the net from wherever they are.
Wouldn’t it be great if one of their favorite destinations was your site?
By now, we all know that the iPhone is revolutionizing the mobile phone market. It’s sleek, sexy and genuinely useful.
However, you may not have stopped to think about what an amazing marketing tool it could be for your web.
Thanks to the iPhone’s built in connectivity and Safari web browser, the millions of new users are discovering the joys of being permanently connected.
Let me share a real life example that happened to me just last weekend.
On the way home from a family outing, last Sunday afternoon our car “beeped” and a strange icon showed up on the dashboard indicator. Slightly startled, I pulled over and reached into the glove compartment to find out what was wrong.
Of course, the car’s manual wasn’t there.
Should we drive on? Find a gas station? Pray?
No! Thanks to Daddy’s new iPhone, the answer was just three or four google searches away.
This is a true story. The symbol indicated that the brake pads were getting worn (they’re now changed, thank you) and we were safe to keep driving home.
The only thing my iPhone didn’t do was save me from a stearn “talking down” by my wife. “Why isn’t the manual in its place, love?”
Now you may be thinking, what does this story have to do with iPhone marketing?
Actually, I just wanted to make you understand two important facts.
In the first place, the iPhone is on a lot of people’s mind right now. It’s our new toy, we’re showing it off to all our friends and we’re eager to add as many nifty add-ons as we can.
In the second place, the idea of being permanently connected and informed is really seductive. This trend is just starting off and you can ride this wave.
How much loyalty would you gain, if you’re readers installed a special icon and web application to their main iPhone screen?
Wouldn’t it be great to give them a special reader which automatically put your latest posts conveniently at their disposal?
That’s exactly what we’ve done for our website.
If need to have your very own professionaly designed iPhone application, for next to nothing, please check out the following iPhone marketing proposal.

5 SEO Tricks For Your Company?s Blog

5 SEO Tricks For Your Company?s Blog
I see several blog mistakes everyday from corporate blogs that are not only hurting their search engine rankings, but in other cases making them obsolete. Here are 5 quick tips that can greatly improve your SEO without much effort.
External Blogs: The biggest mistake your company can make is having an “external” blog. The entire idea behind having a corporate blog is to get attention by bringing people to your company to sell your products or services. Why then would you want to bring people to an external site? (company.blogger.com, company.wordpress.com, etc.). You are already paying to host your website. By having an internal blog (http://www.company.com/blog), you will substantially improve traffic to your corporate site because people will be directed right to it. It is anathema to bring traffic to your website from a blog that is not on your website. It is incredibly easy to implement your blog from your own site. Just download the CMS (content management system), i.e., Wordpress, Joomla, Typepad, etc., onto your server in a folder (blog, etc.). It is just as easy to host your own blog as it is for them to host it for you. You are already paying for hosting and 95% of the time it will have a database included.
Blog Titles: Make sure that the (title) portion of the blog page has the title of the article contained therein. I cannot express the importance of this enough. Naturally, your main blog page will have a generic title, but your comments page should ALWAYS have the title of the particular article. This could mean the difference between being on page 1 on Google or page 40. The code for the title is already in your template (blog section). Just copy and paste between your (title) tags.
META Tags: META tags are actually not as important as the title, but are still very important. Although Google does not place much importance on them, a number of other search engines do. The META tags need to have relevance to your posting to improve search engine optimization. These tags should not solely be about your company. When I am writing a blog, I create a special field called “tags” and each time I write a new article I include relevant keywords to the article. You simply place the CMS form tag in your HTML (title) tags. Example: (title)some of the company information(tag or PHP code for CMS for tages)(/title).
Email Field: Almost every blog has an Icon to subscribe to RSS feeds. Most people are not going to go through the work of an RSS feed unless they know you, even though it is a minimal amount of work at best. You need to allow them to just put in their email address and press subscribe. Not only is this extremely simple, it goes right into their email each time you have a new post. Due to time constraints, people are much more likely to read your posts in their email versus going to your blog every day. I use Feedburner.com. It is free, and super simple to use. By subscribing to the free service yourself, it will also ping your blog automatically to other media sites.
Plug It: When you write an article/post, take ten minutes to plug it. There are several free sites out there that give you “instant” search engine results. You do not have to wait for Google or Yahoo to get around to crawling your blog. Search engines already have websites they crawl as soon as they are updated. Technorati, Digg, Twitter, Buzzit.com, are just a few of the networks who will get you on Goggle almost instantly. Not only will pinging and submitting your article give you almost instant Google results, it will also help your website’s SEO because you are going to generate a lot more link traffic, which is one of the biggest factors in getting you listed on top.
All five of these changes you should be able to do yourself or pay a web developer professional to achieve for you inexpensively.

Search engine optimizers, or SEOs, pride themselves in being able to quickly, effectively, and legally raise a website’s rankings in the popular search engines, in order to attract more clients, and hence generate more business. After all, majority of online business is generated from fresh traffic, or first-time users who come straight from the search engines. It’s always a good feeling to be number one on Google, or at least on the first page, for relevant searches.

Adsense Set the Pricing for Your Blog

Adsense Set the Pricing for Your Blog
Many people have started using Google’s AdSense program to make cash on their blogs, but there are some who find it a bit too uncertain or simply not suiting their own requirements from an ad program.
Thankfully for such people, there are many alternatives to AdSense to help make you cash from your blog that attempt to alleviate some of the Adsense shortcomings. Here is a list of the most noteworthy ones from the lot with a description concerning each one.
All Feeds has a great pool of online advertisers to choose from to place on your blog. It also features many display formats that you can choose from. These include banners, buttons, XML feeds, DHTML pop-ups and so on. It also features real time reporting of your ad status. The site will mail a check every month, provided that you earn more then .00, while rolling over earnings for the next month if you don’t. Another interesting thing about All Feeds is that it integrates with Google AdSense, maximizing your earnings with AdSense.
Market Banker allows you the unique possibility to set the pricing for your blog. It also allows you to allow or reject any link that appears on your site (although AdSense itself does a very good job of this as well, with URL filters) there’s also a statistics section which will allow you to see how well your site is doing. The ads are small just like Ad Sense’s and they’re just as easy to set up. Also, registration for Market Banker is free.
Badly is different because it has advertisers compete for clicks on your blog, which in turn is meant to generate the highest possible profits for your blog’s pages. It also has a very large pool of advertisers which ensure there are plenty of people to choose your site. However, it does require more polish on site contents then AdSense. As most sites, real time statistics are available and it’s very easy to get started with this service, but it’s also very flexible.
Real Context uses Artificial intelligence to retrieve the most relevant ads for your page. And there’s an extra feature which makes Real Context unique as well. Keywords are selected based upon which previous selections paid off and which didn’t. That means there’s a constant feedback process that ensures you gain better revenue from your ads. It also supports blocking certain ads and child-safe filtering and many more options.
Adheres is a very feature-packed contextual ad provider. As with AdSense, advertisements are targeted but it doesn’t stop here at all. The ads are very flexible, you can select from text-ads, banners, rectangles, pop-ups, pop-under or skyscrapers. You can also display your own ads, through rotation, both on your site and on other affiliate sites, which makes Adheres a hybrid with conventional advertising technologies. There’s a very comprehensive on-line real time reporting feature and, as usual with such services, starting out is free and it’s a breeze.
Affiliate Sensor has highly customizable ad blocks, which you can make for yourself with an easy to use on-line interface. You also get real-time reporting with clicks-by-domain, page and referrer. There’s integration with Google AdSense as well, through the google_alternate_ad_url so Affiliate Sensor can be used as a substitute for Google Spa’s (Public Service Ads).
Caboodle’s offering allows publishers to get ads related to topics or segments, and not the traditional keyword oriented ads. The site also groups publisher sites with advertisers by hand to ensure high-revenue generating ads. And speaking of revenue, the amount of money you receive is a clear 50% share of the amount of money Caboodle receives for an advertiser.
Target Point is oriented more towards content publishers. It offers full control over the look the ads, statistics over your site’s overall performance and better revenue. It’s free to register and you earn a guaranteed 60% of the total revenue. You can get paid with Papal of Bank checks and (most times) wire transfers as well.
Clicks or will earn you as much as 60% from the amount of money your website produces. What you get is about the same as AdSense, there are targeted text ads, and you can view the revenues from your website in real time. You can receive money via Papal or through a check every two weeks, provided that you have earned more then . If you haven’t made that much , you’re earning roll over to the next period.
Why Adsense Isn’t Performing Well on Your Blog

Why Adsense Isn’t Performing Well on Your Blog
I’m fortunate enough to make a nice living from running Google Adsense on my blogs and websites, and I often get questions from folks who are trying to figure out why the program doesn’t perform for them. How can you make dollars–even hundreds of dollars–a day instead of mere pennies?
In this article, I’m covering some of the most common reasons people have trouble making money from Adsense.
<b>1. Adsense works best on niche consumer-oriented blogs</b>
To those of us who have been making money online for a while, this seems obvious, but lots of new folks haven’t had that ah ha realization yet.
If your blog is a journal of your life or serves mostly to entertain, it’s not going to be a good candidate for Adsense (and–I’ll be honest here–it’s probably not going to make much from other programs either).
The best performers are blogs that are focused on a specific niche. Even more, that niche should have lots of products or services associated with it.
For example, a blog on home improvement (many of my sites are in the home and garden niche) can do well since there are all sorts of tools and products people buy when they’re looking to remodel or otherwise improve their homes. There are also plenty of services related to this niche, everything from roofing companies to pool maintenance outfits. All of those companies that offer products or services in that niche will want to advertise on your blog, and they’re willing to pay well for qualified clicks.
On the other hand, if your blog is unfocused or attracts people looking more for entertainment than information related to products and services, you’ll find advertisers less likely to pay well (that’s when you see those 1 and 2 cent clicks).
<b>2. Ads must be placed prominently in order to attract attention</b>
I noticed a gal on Twitter complaining that Adsense was making her something like 18 cents a day. I checked out her site, and lo and behold, her tiny 125×125 Adsense block was way over on the right side of her blog <i>below the fold</i>.
If you want to make money with Adsense, stick those ads where people will see them!
This means getting them as close to your content as possible (if you can wrap the ads right into the blog post, it’s best) and keeping them above the fold (people shouldn’t have to scroll down to see your ads).
Also, don’t be afraid to use <i>big</i> ad blocks. Those large rectangles are the best performers–people can’t miss them. If you want to make money from your blog, you can’t be shy about placing those ads prominently.
<b>3. Write about products or services that cost a lot</b>
It’s a foregone conclusion that you’ll make more per click from a blog that reviews 0-00 backyard grills than one that reviews books or cds that cost . The profit margins are a lot higher on big ticket items, so advertisers can afford to bid more per click.
It’s also helpful if the items you’re writing about are easily purchased over the internet. Even though hot tubs cost thousands of dollars, they tend to be items that people try out first and buy locally. On the other hand, software packages that cost a few hundred dollars are logical choices for ordering online.
As you can see from this short list, the real secret to doing well with Adsense is to pick your niche–and start a blog–based on the potential for profit rather than adding Adsense to an existing blog and hoping it will make you rich.
If your existing blog isn’t at all consumer oriented, but it has a lot of traffic, you can always use it to drive traffic to a new blog that does work well with the Adsense model. Don’t give up–you can definitely make good money from Adsense (and other affiliate and advertising programs as well), if you’re willing to build a site that will appeal to both visitors <i>and</i> advertisers.

Top Things To Remember When Starting A Blog
Jun 19th
Top Things To Remember When Starting A Blog
Below, we look at some top ideas to take into consideration when you are starting your blog and also some tips as to how you should go on with your blog.
Choose Your Software – Although we always recommend Wordpress for anyone looking to start a blog site, there are alternatives out there that will allow you to achieve the same effect, most namely Joomla. You can also use other blog websites, like Blogger or Typepad, both of which will let you have a blog using their own domain name, but having your own website is usually much more effective.
Pick Your Categories – Sit down and write a list of everything you will probably be covering in your blog and then make the categories for these. Having good key worded categories is vital to make sure your blog does well in terms of SEO and SEM, because most engines do pick up these categories and therefore you need to make sure they are strong and relevant to what you are doing. It also allows the users of your site to find things much more easily, as they can quickly navigate to the area they wish to be in straight away, rather than read through lots of irrelevant information.
Select Your Tags – Once again, sit down and write a list of everything you will probably be covering in your blog and then make sure you tag each of your new posts with these tags. Having good tags is vital to make sure your blog does well in terms of SEO and SEM, because most engines do pick up these post and blog tags and therefore you need to make sure they are strong and relevant to what you are doing. It also allows the users of your site to find things much more easily, as they can quickly navigate to the area they wish to be in straight away, rather than read through lots of irrelevant information.
Consider Your Content – Having a blog is all about communicating informative, effective and quality information to the world, basically, it is not about just writing any old rubbish for the sake of writing it. Make sure that your content reflects how you want people to view you or your business by writing good quality content that will actually be worth reading from someone looking at your website.
Run A Site Map – Once you have the first few blogs on your blog site, run a sitemap and submit this to all of the Webmaster control panels, with the main ones being Google, Bing and Yahoo. A Sitemap helps to tell the engines more about the site and the content you are producing, which can then help to improve effective indexing, which will make a different to your rankings in the engines.
Tell The World! – When you have some good posts, it is time to start telling the world, or the Internet world about your new blog. Make sure you have an RSS feed so that people can subscribe to your posts, go and find lots of blog directories to submit your blog to and also start commenting on other peoples blogs because you can quite often leave links which will all impact when it comes to the all important link juice pointing back to your site.

Explode Your Google Adsense and Affiliate Commissions Through Niche Blog Content Sites

Explode Your Google Adsense and Affiliate Commissions Through Niche Blog Content Sites
Content as we know it is the Life-Blood or FUEL, if you will, of the Internet.
That was and still is the Internets sole purpose, except only now it’s commercialized, giving the online entrepreneur the world at their fingers tips.
And the facts are that usually when people first come online it’s not to go purchase something, it’s to look for Information that will answer a question they might have about a particular product they’re interested in and/or to a problem they are dealing with and are searching for a solution.
Ask yourself this, “Why do I go online?”
Does it resemble anything like what I just stated?
Only you can answer that.
These are simply the facts with out a doubt… Period!
Now that you have an idea of WHY people come online, I’m now going to explain to you how you can…
“Explode Your Google Adsense and Affiliate Commissions Through Niche Blog Content Sites”
Did you notice the last two words within the quotations?
That’s right, Content Sites.
What are Content Sites?
I think it’s pretty self explanatory but the basic definition of a Content Site is this – it’s a site that contains targeted content that targets a particular niche or many niches.(niche examples: cars, fitness, hobbies, etc.)
Not quite up to speed on what a blog is, here’s a quick definition of a blog – a blog(A.K.A. Web-Log) is simply a place to go and post your personal thoughts that you can share with your subscribers and/or readership and receive feedback.
Now that you know the basic definitions of a Content Site and a Blog lets continue.
Content Sites can contain Hundreds-to-Thousands of pages of keyword rich content, which by the way is exactly what the Search Engines love and will come back for if New content is added on a frequent basis giving the owner of that site lots of opportunity to benefit from the Free traffic inwhich the content pages, or what I like to call Feeder Pages, generate.
So, now that you have an idea of what a Content Site and a Blog is it’s now time to tell you how you can build your own Niche Blog Content Site Empire, no matter what your niche is, using Blogs, Google Adsense and ClickBank affiliate products.
Bare in mind that the steps outlined below are only going to be a summarization of the actual process involved.
So, with that said, here it is.
Step #1. Set up a Blog.
The first step is quite simple. All you have to do is set up a Blog either through…
Blogger.com – http://www.blogger.com
or…
Wordpress.org – http://www.wordpress.org
This blog your setting up is going to be the foundation of your Niche Blog Content Site and is where the rest of the pieces of the puzzle are going to be added to once you’ve set it up.
(Quick Tip: Make sure you use your Target Keywords within your URL of your niche blog and in the Title and Description. VERY Important!)
Once you have your niche blog set up move on to Step #2.
Step #2. Adding your Google Adsense code.
Depending on your experience with scripting and html, it’s now time to add your Google Adsense code to your new niche blog in 3 strategic places.
Google allows you to add 3 Google Adsense blocks only to one page, no more than that, so I recommend one at the Top, one in the Right or Left sidebar depending on the template you choose and one at the Bottom of your blog.
By doing this your almost forcing your reader to click on a link within the Google Adsense block, which is of course, is exactly what you want and where your going to make the money.
The other great thing about Google Adsense is the ads are targeted to the content that you post, giving the reader even more reason to click through.
Here’s a few resources for you that will show you how to add the Google Adsense code to your blog using the services I mentioned above if your not sure how to yourself.

How to Choose a Topic for your Adsense Blog
So you’ve decided to create a blog, and include Adsense ads so you can generate revenue from your blog. The amount of money you make from your Adsense ads depends on a number of factors, but one of the most important factors is the topic you choose for your Adsense blog. A good topic attracts lots of visitors, so you will receive a high number of Adsense clicks, which translates to more money in your pocket.
How do you choose a topic for your Adsense blog that will increase your income? Here are some ways to choose a topic that will be appealing to your readers, and will make you a substantial amount of money along the way.
One way to choose a topic for your Adsense blog is to read entertainment and news websites to see what subjects people are interested in. If you notice that a particular topic appears numerous times on these types of websites, you can be sure that people will be interested in reading and subscribing to a blog on that topic.
Bear in mind that when you use this strategy, you will probably need to revise the theme of your blog frequently, because today’s hot news topics will likely fade from the public eye within a span of a few weeks. If you like to stay on top of current news events and don’t mind changing the focus of your blog on a frequent basis, this can be a good way to choose a topic for your Adsense blog.
If you don’t want to spend your time chasing the latest news stories, a second way to choose a topic for your Adsense blog is to think about your own interests and hobbies. If you think about it, you probably have at least one interest or hobby that would make a good niche blog. Regardless of whether you’re into kayaking, skiing, or Norwegian heavy metal music, you can likely find a loyal audience that will read your blog every day. Building a loyal audience will be important to helping you increase your Adsense revenue, because they will know and understand that your Adsense ads allow you to continue writing your blog. Thus, they will be willing to click on the Adsense ad links to help you make sure you can keep providing great content day after day.
A third way to choose a topic for your Adsense blog is to use a keyword analysis tool such as Wordtracker or Adwords Analyzer to find out what people are looking for.
These tools can give you almost endless ideas for topics to write about that are popular and don’t have a lot of competition. If you can develop the ability to research and write about any subject, this is a great way to choose a topic for your Adsense blog that many people will want to read about. This will help you attract a high volume of traffic for your blog, so you can make more money from Adsense.
